This has been a rough year financially. Weddings are expensive, especially big weddings. I also spent money traveling to India and Sri Lanka. And then there is the fact that I went without a raise for most of the year, and when I did get one it was only 1%. So yes, overall this has been a rough year financially.
Once the wedding is over money will stop flowing out of my savings and I can work on rebuilding my emergency fund. It is in dire need of some love and care.
F and I have also started a joint account and I'm going to start putting money towards that every month as well so I'll probably be saving less in my emergency fund in order to build our joint savings.
It is exciting to think that soon I will be able to actually save money again!
